At Kind Hearts Academy our goal is to provide our children with an environment that fosters universal acceptance and a love of learning. 

Our aim is to develop social emotional skills, as well as support students on their educational journey to create well-rounded individuals. We do this in ways that foster an appreciation of all our differences and individual values.

Offerings

  • Preschool classes specializing in play based, experiential learning

  • Ages 4–12 currently (but please reach out if you have another age or any special needs)
  • Seasonal camps that run during school holidays and closures
  • We focus on outdoor play in our yard, as well as our local parks that are within walking distance
  • Support at school: we frequently work with parents and teachers to offer continuity after school and support curriculum that is being taught during the day. Consider us part of your student’s academic team!

About Kelly

I am a certified teacher with a decade of experience who loves supporting children’s growth and development. Making learning fun is my passion and to better fulfill that passion, I’ve built Kind Hearts Academy. During the school year, we offer morning preschool classes that focus on igniting young learners’ curiosity, supporting them as we develop a culture of innovation and reflective observation together. We dedicate a lot of time to social emotional development and practice our skills during daily conversations about big feelings, using kind words, how we treat our friends, and offer tools to help in difficult situations. We also provide local school pick up and host an after care program weekdays until 5 p.m. The students complete homework if necessary, take care of our family of rabbits, play games and create crafts that support their current curriculum, carry out science experiments, and build projects, often designed by the kids themselves! During the summer, we host Summer Learning Camps that provide fun ways to support continued education by tapping into children’s natural curiosity and love of learning. We utilize our time together to engage in ongoing projects, create games, adventure to local parks and farms, and dig into subjects the students want to learn more about but don’t have time for during the school year. We believe in the benefit of multi age programs and currently host students whose ages range from 4–12 years old. We’d love to connect to see if our program might be a good fit for your family!
